Death of Dr. Noyes. The Popular Young Physician Succumbs to the Deadly Grip
Butte, Feb. 2--Dr. Walter Noyes died suddenly of pneumonia at 5:30 this evening at Murray and Gillespie's hospital. His illness began a short time ago, which produced nervous prostration and finally developed into pneumonia. Drs. Leavitt, Shultz, Murray and Gillespie were constantly in attendance at the young man's bedside and everything that long medical experience could suggest was done for him, but without avail.
Dr. Noyes was very popular in Butte and had a wide circle of friends who will deeply regret to learn of his unexpected death. He was a remarkable bright young man, a very successful physician and he had a bright future before him. He had resided in Butte for the past three years. About a year ago he went East and graduated from the University of Michigan, and since then had been associated with his uncle, Dr. E.D. Leavitt, who was his only relative here. His parents reside in St. Joseph, Missouri, and Dr. Leavitt will start for the city tomorrow or the next day with the body.
