Catherine Fairleigh Haley
1941-2017
Catherine Fairleigh Haley, 76, of Houston,TX, passed away September 13, 2017, in St. Louis, MO. Cathy was born on April 9, 1941, in St. Joseph, MO, to the late William and Mable Fairleigh. She was a Phi Beta Kappa, and a 1963 honors Bachelor of Arts graduate of Southern Methodist University. She married Richard W. Haley, originally of Bakersfield, CA, on July 13, 1963 in St. Joseph, MO, and they lived in Houston since 1974. Cathy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, James P. Fairleigh. She is survived by two children, her daughter Sally Gladden (Peter), of St. Louis, MO; her son James Haley (Monica) of Allen, TX; by her grandchildren Emily Gladden, Sarah Gladden, Hannah Haley, and Chloe Haley; by her sister-in-law Jean Griffin (Robert) of Arlington, TX; by her sister-in-law Marlane Fairleigh Hodges of Seneca, SC; and by many nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends. Private services will be held, and interment will be in Mount Mora Cemetery in St. Joseph, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family would kindly request memorial donations be made to:
